Maltby and Company has proudly invested in community organizations and philanthropic initiatives for over 65 years. Our founder Freeman Maltby was a lifelong member of the Stoughton Rotary Club and his son Bob Maltby has been a member for over 20 years.
For over 30 years, Maltby and Company has been a major supporter of Arbor Day. Everyone rolls up their sleeves to donate labor and equipment at various sites like the Dimock Hospital in Roxbury, Franklin Park, Trustees of Reservations Properties, Capen Farm and numerous public parks that would not normally be in a position to fund extensive tree work projects.
We are active supporters of the Stockbridge School of Arboriculture, a member of the Massachusetts Tree Wardens Association and have traditionally participated in erecting the Nova Scotia Celebration Tree on Boston Common.
Maltby was one of the first on the Board of Safety Saves, a Massachusetts Arborists Association committee dedicated to the implementation of new and stricter safety standards for the tree industry. We have also participated in writing industry guidelines for OSHA in Washington, DC.
